What is the preferred seating at the Hollywood Bowl? ›

The Hollywood Bowl Super Seats are known as the preferred section within the Hollywood Bowl because they are limited to only three sections in the central area of the amphitheater and are arranged in stadium-seating style for the lucky patrons who are able to reserve them.

Those are called Boxes. They are in the front and there are several rows of them Each box has 4 seats so if you buy just 2 seats, for example, the chances are you will be sitting with another couple in the box. It has a table and chairs and it is great to eat there.

How is HyperBowl different from classic bowling? In classic bowling you aim for the pins, and your score depends on how many pins you knock down. HyperBowling is all about aiming for the coloured targets on the lanes, which multiplies your pin score.

You're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks* to the Hollywood Bowl. Bringing wine and beer is dependent on the type of event you're attending. For LA Phil-presented events, feel free to bring wine bottles, wine glasses and beer bottles inside. For Lease Events, alcohol isn't permitted.

Other than the few seats that have an obstructed view, section E at the Hollywood Bowl is a very nice lower cost alternative to box seats. They are as close as the Terrace Boxes… just more stage left. They are bench seats but still very close to the main stage.

The sound quality was great, the view outstanding and the whole history and feel of the place was really very cool! Now, a note to the 'uninitiated'... Prices are high, but for the experience it is probably worth it - once.

Yeah, that's how the (sequential) seats are numbered at the Hollywood Bowl. Those four tickets that you bought are next to each other, not "every other seat" with strangers between you. Don't forget that although you can take food and alcohol into the Bowl, you still have to go through a long security line to get in.

When Should I Arrive? We suggest arriving at least 90 minutes prior to your performance. Please refer to the gate time on your concert's detail page for ticketed access to the amphitheater (barring stage delays).

If on a first ball of a frame a bowler hits only the headpin and leaves all other pins standing, this is called “punching the headpin” and instead of placing a “5” in the score box to denote the value of the pin knocked down, an “H” is recorded instead to specifically denote that it was a headpin-only hit in the frame.

Luckily, there is no specific dress code at the bowling alley, and the great thing is you can wear your own shoes however, we still advise you to wear appropriate footwear for the occasion..

A game of bowling takes approximately 10 minutes per person. So if six people were bowling, it would typically last about an hour. The more players on your lane, the longer the game will last.

Directly behind the boxes in the sections that are in the center of the bowl (as far as left/right is concerned) Is something called "super seats".
